Which sets up the finding I keep returning to: the online Vic has no poker. The menu runs Venue, Slots, Live Casino, Jackpots, Table and Promotions, and the obvious poker address on the site comes back “Page not found”. The online arm of one of Britain’s best-known card rooms deals everything except cards for poker players, so anyone arriving from the venue’s reputation should know they’re getting a polished Rank casino, slots, live tables and jackpots, wearing the Victoria’s name, with the famous game staying firmly at the physical tables in London.
Ownership, licensing and the UK position
The operator is Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, Gibraltar company 120385, the digital arm of The Rank Group, the FTSE-listed company behind Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo. Account 57924 is the licence Rank consolidated its digital brands onto: all five of its activities, bingo, casino, gambling software and both betting classes, run Active from 11 March 2022, and the regulatory actions tab stands empty, a clean record I re-checked today. On protections, the terms confirm customer funds are held segregated from business accounts at the Commission’s medium protection level, meaning arrangements exist to distribute them in an insolvency without amounting to an absolute guarantee. That £2,000 ceiling is the number that separates The Vic inside its own family.
