The set is lovingly recreated. A hostess leans into frame beside the giant face-up cards of the show’s famous guessing wall, the studio suits its era, and the whole thing will be familiar instantly to anyone who grew up with Bruce Forsyth asking the nation whether the next card would be higher or lower. That’s also the oddity: the programme’s last full series finished in June 2003, and one-off revivals aside it’s stayed off-air since, so this is official merchandise for a show more than two decades gone. Its twin brand X Factor Games at least has a comeback to trade on; this one is selling pure memory. Whether that’s appealing or just strange probably depends on whether you can hear the theme tune right now.
